Aoudad, also known as Barbary sheep, are native to the rocky mountains of North Africa. It is rare in its native North Africa but it has been introduced to North America, southern Europe, and elsewhere. You won’t find a much better place to discover this incredible animal than in West Texas.
Some shaggy hair in on the throat (extending down to the chest in mailes) with a sparse mane. The horns curve outward, backward, then inward, and can exceed 30″ in length.
A client can expect to have an opportunity anywhere from 200 to 400 yards! This adventure is physically demanding due to the rocky terrain and changes in elevation so good optics and comfortable shoes are highly recommended.
